【摘要】:1.1Thispractice(1,2)coversthebasicprinciplesforestablishingrelatedunitstressesandstiffnessvaluesfordesignwithvisually-gradedsolidsawnstructurallumber.Thispracticestartswithpropertyvaluesfromclearwoodspecimensandincludesnecessaryproceduresfortheformulationofstructuralgradesofanydesiredstrengthratio.1.2Thegradingprovisionsusedasillustrationshereinarenotintendedtoestablishgradesforpurchase,butrathertoshowhowstress-gradingprinciplesareapplied.Detailedgradingrulesforcommercialstressgradeswhichserveaspurchasespecificationsareestablishedandpublishedbyagencieswhichformulateandmaintainsuchrulesandoperateinspectionfacilitiescoveringthevariousspecies.1.3Thematerialcoveredinthispracticeappearsinthefollowingorder:1.4Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationpurposesonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:ThisStandarddescribesasimpleexampleofverificationandvalidation(V&V)toillustratesomeofthekeyconceptsandprocedurespresentedinV&V10.Theexampleisanelastic,tapered,cantilever,boxbeamundernonuniformstaticloading.Thevalidationproblementailsauniformloadingoverhalfthelengthofthebeam.Theresponseofinterestisthetipdeflection.ThevalidationtestplanandthemetricsandaccuracyrequirementsforcomparingthecalculatedresponseswithmeasurementsarespecifiedintheV&VPlan,whichisdevelopedinthefirstphaseoftheV&Vprogram.InsettingvalidationrequirementsandestablishingabudgetfortheV&Vprogram,theV&VPlanconsidersthelevelofriskinusingthemodelforitsintendedpurpose.SuccessfullymeetingtheV&Vrequirementsmeansthatthecomputationalmodelforthetaperedbeamhasbeenvalidatedfortheintendedusediscussedinthisdocument,viz.,predictingtheresponseofataperedbeamtestedinthelaboratory.Thefollowingtwovalidationapproacheswereconsidered:(a)acasewhereuncertaintydatawerenotavailableandobtainedinsteadfromsubjectmatterexperts.(b)acasewhereuncertaintydatawereavailablefromrepeattestsandcalculations.
